MV Interior Design General Terms & Conditions

  1. DEFINITIONS:

    1.1 “Designer” refers to MV Interior Design.
    1.2 “Client” refers to the individual or company purchasing the design service.
    1.3 “Services” refers to any interior design package or additional service provided by the Designer.
    1.4 “Deliverables” refers to plans, drawings, presentations, materials, and documents produced by the Designer.

  2. SCOPE & SERVICES:

    2.1 The Designer offers three design-only packages (The Foundation Package, The Concept Package, and The Vision Package).
    2.2 All packages provide design concepts, drawings, and recommendations to enable the Client to proceed independently with implementation.
    2.3 The Designer does not manage or execute the physical implementation of any design.

  3. WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

    3.1 The following services are not included, but may be added at an hourly rate of €50/hour:

    Ordering products

    Arranging deliveries

    Site visits or installation days

    Measuring the space (if not part of an in-person intake meeting)

    General project management (e.g. coordinating painters, furniture makers, contractors, etc.)

    3.2 The following services are not included under any circumstances:

    Contractor communication

    Budget management for structural works, demolition, or construction (beyond the Client’s décor and furnishing budgets).

  4. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    4.1 The Client is solely responsible for:

    Providing accurate and complete site measurements

    Providing timely feedback during the design process

    Confirming all dimensions, quantities, product suitability, and installation requirements before purchasing items.
    4.2 The Designer is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete measurements provided by the Client.

  5. PAYMENT TERMS:

    5.1 A 50% deposit is required before any design work begins. The design timeline will not commence until the deposit is received.
    5.2 The remaining 50% balance is due within 14 days after the final presentation is delivered.
    5.3 If the Client delays the final payment beyond 14 days, additional fees will be added to the remaining amount. These fees will be determined by the Designer.
    5.4 Late payments may result in delays to deliverables or suspension of the project.
    5.5 Refunds fall under the cancellation policy (Section 10).

  6. REVISIONS & ADDITIONAL WORK:

    6.1 Each package includes one (1) feedback round during the layout stage.
    6.2 After the final presentation, any changes or additional revisions requested by the Client will be billed at an extra fee, determined by the Designer based on the size and complexity of the revision.
    6.3 Any services outside the agreed package will be charged at an hourly or fixed rate determined by the Designer.

  7. TIMELINE:

    7.1 Project timelines depend on the Designer’s schedule and the size of the project and will be determined by the Designer.
    7.2 If the Client delays feedback or approvals, the project timeline will automatically pause.
    7.3 The Designer is not responsible for delays caused by the Client.

  8. COMMUNICATION:

    8.1 Email is required for:

    Quotes

    Invoices

    Formal confirmations

    8.2 WhatsApp may be used for:

    Measurements

    On-site uncertainties

    Client preferences (furniture, materials, etc.)
    8.3 Response times:

    Invoice confirmation: within 7 days

    Design-related questions: within 48 hours (Mon–Fri)

  9. DELIVERABLES & FILE OWNERSHIP:

    9.1 All design documents, drawings, and presentations remain the intellectual property of the Designer.
    9.2 The Client receives a license to use the design materials solely for implementing the design in the specified property.
    9.3 The Client may not resell, distribute, or reproduce the design for commercial use.

  10. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS:

    10.1 The Client has the right to cancel the project at any time.
    10.2 Any refund amount, if applicable, will depend entirely on how much design work has already been completed at the time of cancellation.
    10.3 The Designer reserves full discretion in determining whether any portion of the fees is refundable.
    10.4 The deposit is generally non-refundable once design work has begun.

  11. CLIENT SATISFACTION & RESPONSIBILITY:

    11.1 Design is a creative process. The Designer commits to delivering a professional, thoughtful, and well-developed design aligned with the Client’s brief.
    11.2 After the final presentation, if the Client is not satisfied with the design outcome, the Client is still responsible for paying the remaining 50% of the invoice, regardless of personal preference or subjective dissatisfaction.
    11.3 Additional revisions, if desired, can be purchased for an additional fee as outlined in Section 6.

  12. LIABILITY:

    12.1 The Designer is not responsible for:

    Contractor work, workmanship, or communication

    Product availability, lead times, or changes in pricing

    Measurement inaccuracies provided by the Client

    Installation, delivery, or assembly issues
    12.2 All recommendations are made in good faith. Final purchasing decisions and verification are the responsibility of the Client.

  13. PORTFOLIO & MARKETING USE:

    13.1 The Designer may use:

    Final designs

    3D visuals

    Moodboards

    Material boards

    Photos taken by the Designer

    Before & after images
    for marketing purposes, including website, Instagram, and promotional materials.
    13.2 The Client’s identity and exact location will remain private if requested.

  14. GOVERNING LAW:

    14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.
    14.2 Any disputes shall be resolved under Dutch jurisdiction.

  15. ACCEPTANCE:

    By paying the deposit, the Client agrees to these Terms & Conditions and confirms understanding of the design-only nature of the services.
